I will have a newborn and 22 months old in a few months...After extensive stroller research, I believe the MBUD is best for us (mall, outdoor walks etc). Is there much of a difference in the three past years models? I found a 2005 for $500 but wasn't sure if a newer model was worth the extra money. THANKS!

If you have BIG/Tall kids then you might opt for a newer model. I believe the hood is now the height of the extended hood (2 inches taller) you could buy additionally. I am not sure if it's the 2006 or 2007 when they made the changes!

Good luck

Did you find the price on Albeebaby? They have a 2005 listed for $500. It comes with adjustable handles so it will have the new higher hood. They started making these in 2005. There is a small part of that year the old style was carried over. You may want to call and double check your order. Albeebaby's got a triplet 2005 listed but without the adjustable handle/higher hood so that's the old model. I have a 2004 MBUS and absolutely *LOVE* it! I'm looking for the MBUD myself right now and would like to stick with the old style. I don't need the adjustable handles and all that added weight that comes with the new model. I can always buy the hoods later on if I needed to.

Thanks for your help! I did find the 2005 on Albeebaby.com...that's the best price I have found on any year model. My toddler is petite, so I don't need a higher hood. I've only heard great things about the MBUD - so, even though it's pricey, it sounds worth it!

The 2005 MBUS and MBUD with the adjustable handles were subject to two recalls. You need to check with the retailer to ensure that BOTH recalls were done. I had one recall done to my MBUS then had to get the SECOND one done too. Huge PITA. IMO, it would be worth it to buy an '06 or newer just to not have to deal with the recall.

At the Expo, I asked them about the Albee's ones in particular. They said those were not part of the recall. And to their knowledge, no other retailers were selling strollers any more that were part of that recall. One other thing, the X Tall canopy on the older models is, in fact, still taller than the regular canopies on the new models.

That's great to know, on both accounts!
