Well, I'm new to this message board thing, so here it goes. My son will be 12 months old next week and is everywhere. I need a baby gate that can expand to twice the size of a normal doorway (the entrance to my kitchen). Does anyone know of a good and safe gate that isn't too expensive?
I've shopped at One Step Ahead and they have many different safety gates to choose from. I'd check them out.
Also, look at RightStart catalog.

The best gate I found was on the Petsmart website. We use it at our kitchen. It isn't as easy to use as some of the door sized gates, but it fit the opening well and was a lot less expensive. Hope this helps!

I got a good one at Toys 'R Us for about $35 that extends to 62". It is very easy to use and install. I think it is called the Supergate V or something.
