Based on the mass chaos and disorder in babies r us stores, and the blatant overpricing at Right start stores, and the holiday crowds coming up, I am going to order gates and safety products online. Anyone have any experience ordering these products online? any suggestions on where to find the best prices? I am considering babycatalog.com ... Any advice would be much appreciated!!!!!

I was just looking for these types of things today (Kidco PlayDen).

http://www.comfortliving.com seems to have some good prices, and I think if you spend over $100 you get free shipping. I have ordered from them before (it was a stroller), and I had no problems.

http://www.amazon.com (or http://www.babiesrus.com should get you there) is having free shipping on purchases of $100 or more from their baby store right now (which is BabiesRUs online).

Some other sites I came across for Kidco products are:
http://www.babyant.com
http://www.i-mom.com
http://www.babyuniverse.com
(I think I got the addresses right.) I haven't ordered from these places, so I can't comment on their service.

You could also try a search at http://www.mysimon.com (that's how I actually came across the sites listed above).

Good luck!

Oops!

It's not free shipping right now at BabiesRUs/Amazon.
It's a free stuffed bear.

I somehow missed the note on their main screen that they stopped taking orders as of October 31 (until after I tried to place an order). But if you go to the baby section of the site there are details about free shipping on orders over $100 placed that day. Thing is, you can't put anything into a shopping cart. You would think they would stop making it look like products were available if they've stopped taking orders. Or have a different message when you tried to put something in the cart--right now it just says something like "this service is temporarily unavailable," which makes it look like they're having trouble with their site, not that they've stopped taking orders altogether.

I had ordered one of the Combi Strollers that were on clearance at Comfort Living a few weeks/months ago, and was rather happy with the whole experience. Now I'm not so happy with them. :-(

I guess I'll have to go place my huge order with BabyCatalog instead.
