Kiddy guard for upstairs?

Hi,

I have Kiddy guard for downstairs. It is great, and we just love it. DS is now 14 months, so I need to put another gate upstairs. Does anyone know if Kiddy guard is strong enough to be put at the top of stairs? Thanks!

It's my understanding that the Kiddy Guard is okay for upstairs use since it is hardware-mounted and is designed to withstand a good amount of force. I haven't bought one yet, but a woman I asked about them had a couple and really liked them (and she worked at the Right Start so had seen lots of gates).
