Looking for a gate for the top of the stairs that doesn't mount into the railing. This one http://www.onestepahead.com/jump.jsp?lGen=detail&itemID=1166&itemType=PRODUCT&iProductID=1166&change=117 mounts on the wall instead of the railing itself, 90 degrees from where most would mount. Anyone have this, or another idea?

I was looking at this gate too (although I think it's $20 cheaper online than in the catalog?). Neither set of stairs in our home has a wall on both sides that allows you to mount a traditional gate and the spring type gates at BRU do not look as sturdy as the FP gate we owned with our now 13 year old (unfortunately the FP gate didn't hold up in storage too great over the past 4 years). We need a gate that mounts 90 degrees like you (we live in a split house and the walls don't line up nor do they measure the same height on both sides).

Hope you get more feedback! Please contact me if you get any responses.

Thanks,
Danielle
