We realize now that Lauren is 6 months old, it's time to baby proof. I'm just wondering if there is a book, or a good web site that lists everything we'll need to do and give suggestions as to how to do it?

I think I've been putting this task off for fear of all the work it entails. Yikes!

Personally, I don't think you need to do everything on a list, especially not all at once. Lists tend to be rather exhaustive and some of the items available for sale are simply not necessary IMO. Babyproofing has been a gradual process for us. There are certain things on which DS fixates and we address those. We also put latches on cabinets with dangerous or breakable things, but leave others open so that DS can play in them. We don't use toilet locks because the doors to our bathrooms are supposed to remain closed. Make sure your DH is vigilant about this too, though (we recently had an incident where something was dropped in the toilet). HTH
