We want to put a gate at the bottom of our stairs but the walls are both at an angle. Are there any gates that can rotate at the ends so that you can mount it to the wall. Our walls are in a v shape. Also, the opening is almost 4 1/2 feet wide.

Any suggestions?

I think what you are looking for is the "Configure Gate" by Kidco. It's pricey, but it should work for you. Here's a few links for pricing and info:

Just my two cents...

My husband just installed an Evenflo gate near the bottom of your stairs. The gate is installed at slight angle. We got it at Target and it wasn't very expensive so you might want to check it out. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Kim-
Is it the Evenflo Wide Spaces?

I read horrible reviews on it and returned it. It is supposed to be hard to install. DO you like it? Was it hard to install? Our walls are in a slight V shape and we don't know what else to use.

Sara- The configure gate looks neat but its too big for what we need since the gate will be installed right next to our front door. Thanks though!

Actually, we have the Wide Spaces gate. It has a plastic mechanism that can sometimes be finicky, but other than that it works well. Our hallway is shaped strangely because we are remodeling and it was the only gate I could find at BRU that would fit. We also bought a Walk-Through Stair Gate for our kitchen. DH installed both gates. I don't think either one was very difficult. It took him maybe 15 minutes to do.

No, I think it's called the Evenflo Expansion Loc gate. My husband is no handyman, but he just drilled two small holes for each side of the gate and inserted their screws. It looked easy and is working well for us.
