View Full Version : Where do you put the monitor?

We have always kept the monitor actually INSIDE the crib. I found it comforting to be able to listen to DD breathe (weird, huh). Anyway, now I'm thinking it's not such a good idea. DD is starting to really move around the crib, and has been grabbing and pushing the monitor around. So, where should we put it? DD's crib is against the middle of one wall, not in a corner.

TIA,

Our monitor is across the room from the crib on a shelf. I can hear her just fine!

Ours hangs over the top of the rocking chair near the crib. I think anyplace in the nursery will be fine as far as hearing DD.

We also have ours across the room on top of a book case. I know what you mean about hearing the breathing though! I'm the same way. If Colin has slept a little longer than usual, I can still hear the breathing if I crank the receiver to full blast and listen really closely. :)

I have a little table next to the crib for the cd player and the monitor...

HTH!
