Am I losing my mind? I swear I've seen a hands free gate with a wall mounted button that you push to open the gate. Now, of course, I can't find it anywhere. I thought this might be a good solution to a gate that my older two (4&5) could open and shut themselves, So that I didn't have to get up every 30 seconds when they want to go up and down the stairs -- we have a split entry.

Is this maybe what you're thinking of?

Nope, but thanks. This one had a remote thingy with a big blue button that you could put up on the wall and when you pushed it it released the latch so you could open the gate.

Ooooh now it's a challenge...LOL
How about this one? I can't tell if the button is blue, but it is definitely mounted on the wall.

Check epinions.com before you buy this gate - there's something about the height of the button, it can't be very high or the "remote" feature won't work, and it actually has to be so low that it seems like there is a risk of baby being able to reach the button. Or something like that - I remember reading this a lot before buying baby gates (didn't buy this one).
