How do you baby proof the dog food and water bowls?

Okay, I know this really isn't a baby proofing thing, but this is the only section I could think to ask this silly question...

My DS is crawling -- and FAST. Everyday he heads to the dog dishe and spills the water bowl. I have tried to think of new places to put the water dish, but anywhere my dog can get to it, so could DS. Luckily dog eats FOOD right when food is placed in the bowl, but he needs water all day.

Help! Any suggestions? What did you do to keep your baby away from the water dish? Any specil spill proof bowls out there?

i got the Buddy Bowl and love it! My smart dog figured it out right away. The slow one took a few hours! :) No more spilling!

Glad it worked for you - I think that the Buddy Bowl is amazing and wouldn't hesitate to give it to any dog owner as a baby shower gift!

Hi Lori,

I never got around to ordering one of the Buddy Bowls yet...huge favor to ask...would you mind measuring it for me? just the width across (diameter, right...if my geometry from high school serves me correctly) I'm hoping it will fit in Morgan's wooden feeding stand.

Ours is about 9-1/8" across (on the base, there is a lip at the top that I assume would rest on the stand).
