Has anyone used the IKEA outlet plugs in their homes? I saw online that they are pretty cheap - I think it was 8 for a dollar. Are outlet plugs the way to go for baby proofing?

Thanks for any info!

Outlet plugs are handy and cost-effective for outlets that you rarely use, but if you're going to be using the outlet, the spring-loaded outlet coverplates (we have some that twist, and some that slide) are MUCH less annoying to use. The same properties that make the outlet plugs hard for children to remove make them hard for adults to remove, too.

I like the kind that the previous poster mentioned, and also I have some where you replace the plate and a box attaches over the plugs, for things that must be plugged in all of the time. My DS has only seen those plastic outlet covers once (not IKEA ones, but that general idea) and he plucked them right out :(
