I see that this is a fairly common question, so hopefully there will be some good suggestions for my problem.
The available space under the railing on the right side and the post on the railing of the other/left side of the staircase in our home do not match up. Thus, installing a gate would result in a weird angle with a good potential for dangerous open space along the top stair. I'm afraid DS would end up slipping and catching his leg, arm, etc., in the open space.
Does anyone know of a good stair top gate that can be installed in an awkward staircase? We currently have a pressure-mounted gate up and I literally chase after my toddler all day in order to make sure he doesn't get too close and accidentally dislodge it.
