Need Help with gate (PICS)

I was going to buy the KidCo Safeway Gate for the top of my stairs with the installation kit.

Any other suggestions are warmly welcome:

Couldn't you just install the Safeway gate on her door (rather than the stairs themselves) so that it would swing out to the right against the balustrades?

No, because we're not always in her room.
