I had a terrible experience with Doe-A-Deer Instruments & Toys and it is still on-going since March. I would like to warn others to not buy musical instruments & toys for your little one from this on-line company: Doe-A-Deer Instruments & Toys. Web Site URL: http://www.doe-a-deer.net

The owner, Melanie, only shipped half of what I ordered, yet charged my credit card in full for everything including the items I did not receive. When I contacted her, she said the items were out-of-stock and offered a refund. However, she never, ever refunded me. I contacted her several times giving her an opportunity to do what is right, but she refused to respond. So I then had to report her to the Better Business Bureau. However, Melanie, did not respond to them either, so that didn’t help me out much. I see now that her report at the BBB is growing negatively rapidly. I don’t know why Melanie would want to ruin her business’ reputation and steal money from her customers, but she does. Her BBB review is here: http://search.cincinnati.bbb.org/default3.asp?strTheForm=2&ID=1&strBCode=02920000&ComID=0292000010002902&ComName=Doe+A+Deer+Instruments+%26+Toys

I have now disputed the charge on my credit card and have received a temporary refund while they investigate. They told me she would need to prove that I received the items.

I just want to remind others that while there are many good places to buy on the internet, some need to be checked out first. Buyer beware, and check BBB reviews.
