View Full Version : Is babycatalog.com a reliable site?

I have found alot of things I want there but I am hesitant about spending a few hundred dollars at a store I've never shopped at before. Has anyone had experience with them? How easy is it to return etc? Thanks!

awesome CS, quick shipping. i bought a crib mattress, a breast pump, a britax carseat and some little things from them. (several different orders) called them before ordering to ask questions, and had courteous staff who answered ALL my questions. never had to return anything, so can't comment on that.

I bought a Dutalier rocker from them and a Britax car seat -- excellent prices fast shipping.

There were no problems with my order, so I don't have any comments on their returns or CS. They were recommended to me by another mom, so at least 2 of us have had good experiences.

We bought our colgate crib mattress there, for a great price & free shipping. Came on time without a hitch. We were happy.

We bought our Dutailier glider from them. Came in broken after being delayed in shipping. Turned out to be a hassle to get it replaced. Would not order a piece of furniture from them again. Maddie

I ordered a Radian carseat from them -- there was no indication at any point during the ordering process that it was backordered, and they waited two days to notify me of that. But they went ahead and charged my card anyway, and said "Usually we get them in in 1-2 weeks." So I've paid for a carseat with no real guarantee it's coming anytime soon. And I need it ASAP as DS is really too big for the one he's in.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon, I'll come back and post either way. At least I'm encouraged that others here have had good experiences with them.

I've ordered from them 8-10 times and never had a real problem. My only annoyance was that they let me order something that was backordered and waited 2-3 days to tell me. Otherwise, everything has gone well.

We got our marathon from them eight months ago for a great price ($219, I think) with free shipping. I would order from them again anytime.

That's exactly what happened to me. I ordered, they charged me, then two days later they e-mailed me to let me know it was backordered and it would be in in a few weeks. Then they never notified me when it shipped. It just turned up one day. It was fine in the end, though, and I love my new carseat.
