Does anybody know if there is a Canadian equivalent to the Evenflo Triumph? Or does anybody have any experience with the Evenflo Victory or the Graco Comfortsport DLX? I've read some reviews of the Comfortsport DLX and they don't seem all that positive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No Triumph in Canada. Rumour has it that it didn't pass the Canadian standard tests.

Hmmm, what did you read about the Comfort Sport DLX that you found negative? It would help to formulate an answer to you :)

Thanks.

On, www.carseatsite.com it is stated the Comfortsport DLX straps twist very easily, the harness adjuster is very hard to use when rear facing and that the seat can get stuck past the 45 degree angle when rear facing. This site does not recommend using the Comfortsport DLX rear facing. As well, amazon.com has numerous negative user opinions about the Comfortsport mainly about the harness adjuster being hard to get at when rear facing. Any other opinions?

Ummm truthfully, I think all carseats (except the Britax Marathon) have twisty straps and hard to use harness adjuster when rf (some more than others though). The Cosco AOE, EB, Safety 1st are hard to use even ff because the new harness adjuster mechanism is so hard to grab to lift. It requires finger nails to dig into the crevice of the adjuster mechanism before one can lift it to loosen the harness. This is of course harder when rf.

If you can invest in the MA, you'll find that it is the easiest to use among all available carseats in Canada. Hope you also saw my response re. US and Canadian MAs.

But if you won't get the MA, then the best thing would be try all the seats out in your car, with the baby in them. That would give you an idea what fits best in your car and baby, what quirks you can live with or what you absolutely hate, etc.

I emailed Evenflo a while back with this question and no, the Triumph isn't available in Canada.

We have the Graco ComfortSport and are currently using it RF with our 4m DD (in our 2nd car, her primary seat is a Graco SnugRide, but we bought the ComfortSport early as she is a large baby and will be out of the infant seat VERY soon). We have had no problems with fitting it into either a 2001 Acura sedan or 1997 Nissan Pathfinder RF. Nor have we had any problems with the straps twisting, nor with accessing the harness adjuster in the RF mode.
