Have you tried Home Depot? I saw a tonne of rugs there the other day - not sure of the exact sizes but I think I saw some colorful ones. The Wal-marts here do have some appropriate for a kid's room - but they are a bit smaller than 5x8ish. Hmm. Ikea was going to be my other suggestion but I see you had no luck there. Try Home Depot and also Rona (if you have Rona's where you are - not sure if that is a western chain?). Good luck!

Try Bombay Kids, Pottery Barn kids, Canadian Tire, Home Sense too. Again, I don't know the specific size nor the colour(s), style, etc. that you are looking for though. You might have some luck with kids furniture stores, but they might not be around $200

I've seen ones I like @ Home Depot, Costco & Rona. Definetly under $200!
