We did the Father's day driving rounds today. Went to see DH's dad and then drove to NJ to see my dad. As we turned off the big road onto one of the side road, there is a bank right there. We were in the right lane and some moron-idiot woman was in the left lane when she decided that she NEEDED to go to the bank. So, she just swerves into our lane and if Paul didn't slam the brakes and laid on the horn, she'd have completely smeared her passenger side all over our drivers' side.

I was so glad that Aaron was rear-facing when Paul slammed on the brakes. I was yanked forward like a ragdoll and got seat-belt burn on my shoulder, then I looked over at Aaron and he's still happily munching on his Cheerios like nothing happened. He wasn't the least bit bothered by the sudden stop.

That kind of stuff makes me So crazy! Why do people not realize that if they miss a turn, they can TURN AROUND?!? As if whatever they're doing is more important than the lives of everyone else on the road. Shame on her for her lack in judgement. I'm sorry you had a nasty scare and got burned by the strap, but I'm glad everyone is okay. I hope you had a good Father's Day in spite of that experience.

I am so glad your DH has quick reflexes, and that he was able to avoid a possible collision with that twit. I hope she felt like a total a$$ after that.

We were on Route 78 this weekend and saw accidents both ways! One of the them was smack in fromt of us w/ an 18 wheeler (I'm assuming either on a cell phone or asleep) broadsided a work van in the left lane into a guard rail). Crazy (no one here).
