He took DD out tonight to give me some time alone(didn't happen because DS woke up but that's another story) and comes home with a really cute outfit....that didn't fit.

He's so sweet to think of me and I do appreciate it but it's always the wrong size or cut or whatever.

I wish I could just wear whatever he brought home and look great.

that stinks! my dh's idea of bringing me home an outfit or some piece of clothing is the free shirts they give out at work x( can you take it back and get the right size? i know that kinda stinks to have to do too. kinda ruins the whole "got a gift" thing imo.

Reminds me of a joke.

A husband asks his wife "If you could have any wish, what would you want for your birthday?" And the wife replies "I wish I could be 8 again." So for her next birthday, the husband wakes up his wife and gives her breakfast in bed -- Fruit Loops. He takes her out to the amusement park where they go on all the roller coasters and rides, have cotton candy and corn dogs for lunch. Then he wins her a giant teddy bear on the Midway and for dinner they have chicken nuggets and ice cream sundaes. They go home at 10 pm and fall exhaustedly into bed.

The husband says "How did you like being 8 again for your birthday?" The wife, sick to her stomach from the rides and all the junk food, tiredly opens one eye and looks at him. "You never listen. I said I wish I could be a *size 8* again!"

I feel your pain! When we were standing behind a nurse at the grocery store I mentioned to DH that it would be nice to wear something comfy like scrubs to work instead of a suit, heels and pantyhose. So that weekend DH bought me a set of scrubs. He was so excited that I had to thank him profusely. However, I don't think that the partners at my law firm would be amused if I showed up wearing my scrubs, so they only get worn as pajamas. Sigh . . .

Aww, man. It sucks because you know they mean well. Guys are so good at being 99.9% awesome. They just always seem to drop the ball in the homestretch,lol. :)

My DH usually does pretty good with gifts but clothes are not his best area. He (possibly tmi*****) loves to buy me stuff from Victoria's Secret, which you know is more for him than me. I'm always like dude, I'm tired, just give me some granny panties and a sweatshirt. :P

Hope you enjoyed the one on one time with your little guy. :)
