MIL (who is a self-admitted wine snob) tells me weeks ago that she will "take care" of the wine for Thanksgiving dinner (which I'm hosting, again). So she shows up today with .... NO WINE! Um, hello?! I casually ask about it and she says, "I meant to order it on wine.com, but just kept forgetting. Sorry." WTF! You couldn't tell me...I would have bought the wine when I was running around buying all the food, etc. this weekend... ugh! So I just sent her out with DH to go buy the wine, and I'm sure I'll chalk up another "evil DIL" point, but really now... ugh!

Hehe...wine...reminds me of the first year DH and I were dating. I brought a bottle of wine to his parents' house for Christmas. How was I supposed to know that his grandmother is a super-strict, southern baptist, "alcohol is the DEVIL," kind of woman?

Ah well...she's been praying for my soul ever since. }(

Thanksgiving without wine is a crime. Well, it should be anyway!

Interesting, most self-admitted wine snobs that I know keep a decent stash at home. Crazy.

WOO HOO! I'm a wine snob///

Unless it doesn't count if wine snobs keep giving you wine you can't drink it because you're pregnant, so you build up a stash of about 10 bottles...

Who cares, though - party at my house on New Years...
