I so wasn't going to keep coming back to the old bitching post... but its not the first time I've been wrong.

DS2 gets sick all the time. We took him to an infectious diseases specialist. Need to get him on 30-60 day course of antibiotics. Needed to talk to doc about starting meds now. I called doc on monday, doc did not call back. We are going out of town saturday, so I need to get meds started, b/c DS2 is getting anther sinus infection. Call back today, speak with nice nurse, she will put my file on top, doc will call. Give doc my cell phone number, so I will be sure not to miss call.

Husband calls. Just bought me a new cell phone. Will need to disconnect my cell phone. Am I ok with that. Yes, I say, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP MY PHONE WITH YOU AND ANSWER IT BECAUSE I AM EXPECTING THE DOCTOR TO CALL. DS NEEDS MEDS. HE IS SICK, IT IS HOLIDAY, WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY ON SATURDAY. I explained why, and reiterated that I would not need my phone for the rest of the afternoon, just please please take my phone and answer it.

You do know what's coming.

I was angry. I kept my cool, but expressed my frustration that he forgot to bring my phone with him. He got all pissy and lashed back that he was angry because I expect him to remember everything. Uh, no. I am very supportive and understanding, and I really don't sweat the small stuff. I don't even sweat all the medium or big stuff. But please. So then he hangs up on me.

I am quite annoyed. There is no message from the doc on my cell that I could find, but it shows that he called (missed call) at around 4. Now its that much longer that he won't be getting started. And, really. Is it that hard to remember something like that. And shouldn't your child's health be something you would remember.

Off to cook.

Light him on fire?

My DH hasn't pulled that particular stunt, but I'm sure he would.

A telepathic fire is lit under your DH starting....right....now!

That's pretty outrageous. My DH has a horrible memory and forget a lot of things (including things I told him 5 minutes ago) but if he forgot something tha timportnat I would be majorly pissed.

Can you talk to the doctor on Friday?

Oh my goodness, I would be livid. Sorry you're going through this! I hope DS is feeling better soon.

Hugs! I would kick my DH's butt if he ever did that. Nothing is more important than my DDs' health.
