Remember the movie the fugitive w/ Harrison Ford? It was DS1 favorite movie at the age of 3. He wanted to see train crash. <hanging head in shame>

When my neighbor was pregnant her DH offered to take DS (3 years old) to a movie... She was thrilled. It was Lady of the Lake. I believe he is still sleeping on their floor... He is almost 5...

When my oldest was about 3, I left her w/dh and together they watched "Men in Black". According to dh, she was fine until the alien ate the guy. Two hours later when I got home, she was still shaking.

Idiots.

Why? "My name is Joe Dirte, I added an e to the end, cause it sounds cool." ;)

What are they thinking?! My DH was watching our 20 month old and he put on the Wayan's brothers movie "Little Man" I never saw my son stare at the TV like that before! I came home and my son starting saying "No no no" as soon as he saw me. Oh, and dad thought it was a great movie.

What we usually are thinknig is "Hey, that looks like a fun movie. I watch movies now that I watched when I was little, but now I see things I didn't see before. S/He will end up doing the same."

For example, Star Wars. When I was little, I never realized how weird it was that Leia kissed Luke or noticed that she was in a bikini.

If you really want us to not watch certain movies with him/her, it woul be good to make a list of movies that are absolutely off-limits, and leave discretion regarding others to us. And trust us - we aren't going to pop in Striptease to watch with the kid. Oh, and the list should be sensible - if all you leave for us are Disney movies, we will probably ignore the list. For example - how many of you would disapprove Cool Hand Luke or Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure?

I would definitely disapprove of Cool Hand Luke. I can just see MY Luke tring to shove a bunch of eggs in his mouth. Plus there is too much fighting.
