Jeez. I had 5 inches cut off my hair on Friday. It's Monday and no one, and I mean NO ONE has noticed. Not DH, not my mom, not my MIL, not the entire party of nearly 25 people who were here for Family Christmas yesterday. No one. It was way past my shoulders and now it barely touches my shoulders, so it isn't a huge, huge difference, but still you'd think someone would have noticed five inches.
DH said he couldn't tell and that I looked the same. grrr... Well, that was a waste of $45 to get a haircut no one noticed. :(

Awe I'm sorry. That is frustrating. However, as long as you love it who cares. You could always pull it back or use clips....if that much was but off that should show a big difference.....I dunno. Happy Holidays!

I was just thinking that there was something different about you!
I thought it was the tiny belly (did you lose weight?). Now I realize it's your hair. You LOOK great!!!!

I would have noticed. :-) And I can totally commiserate. Last weekend while DH was out at the store, I cut over 12 inches off my hair. Now that means that my hair is just above my hip now instead of hitting the backs of my thighs. Has anyone noticed in a week? DH? No. 40 odd co-workers? No.

Jen,
Before I read your post, I just want to tell you that your hair looks fabulous!
Oh, now that I read it, I see you got it cut! I knew something was different.

Wow. Seriously, I don't think I have ever seen anyone with hair that long IRL. My hair can't even make it to halfway down my back. I'm dying for any pictures, if you don't mind posting. :)

You look FAB, and I bet your party was so rockin' that your guests were too dazzled to see it just yet. Just wait, they'll catch up.

Here is a pic from the end of Aug when we went to the Ren Fair. Pic's with me in them are few and far between these days as I am usually the one behind the camera. :-)

I'm sorry Jen, I'm sure it looks amazing! I would have noticed :) (if that helps at all).
I completely know how you feel, 2 years ago I got my hair dyed very blonde and cut from between my shoulders to under my chin and NO ONE noticed! We went to a party *right* after it was cut and not one word (!). I was so mad. About 2 months ago I went *dark* and got my hair trimmed this time *everyone* noticed and I was much happier. It was funny though, because I was sulking to my hairdresser (a British guy) about no one noticing my dramatic change before and hoping ppl would notice now and he said, "Well, I make sure that doesn't happen to me, everytime I change my hair I go up to *everyone* I know and say 'Do you like my hair?;" --LOL thats one way to do it :).
Hope this makes you feel better.

Did you donate to Locks of Love. We did this when we cut our then five year olds hair for the first time. She had beautiful hair and I couldn't see just tossing it if someone else could use it. Donating it isn't hard. Check out the Locks of Love website for more info.

Erica, thanks so much for posting a pic. I am so jealous that you have the ability to grow your hair long. And it is just perfect for the Rennaissance Fair look :)
