Dh's grandfather is in the process of dying - he has less than a week left. MIL (this is her FIL afterall) is sending email updates and is just forwarding them cold. Not putting anything like "this doesn't sound good, etc." Not really a big deal on the ones that followed the first one, but geez - the first one was kind of shocking to read without some sort warning. It just seems really insensitive to me. I feel bad for DH.
MIL was an ER nurse for 28 years so she's really, really detached from things like this. She had to be in order to keep her sanity - as she routinely saw and dealt with death - almost daily. But this is family afterall - her FIL and her son. You'd think you could muster up a little sympathy.
