Okay, time to turn the diaper pail around! I usually put the bag with diapers to take to the trash (from the Diaper Dekor) into DH's bathroom until I'm ready to take it downstairs (yeah, he's really thrilled about that one, makes his bathroom smell really good!).

I was looking at it before I took it downstairs and (TMI) saw too much brown to be just dirty diapers...I realized one of DS's stuffed bears was in the bottom of the bag! At first I thought maybe it just got too much poop on it and it was just the little IKEA bear ($1.99) but then I saw another stuffed animal next to it. Yuck.

So DS must have opened up the can and thrown both his bear and puppy into the bottom. Ewww, just thinking about it again...I took them out and I'm going to wash them in hot water, but I seriously thought about just tossing them. I still might. There isn't anything on them, but they don't smell good at all! And they're damp, and just yuck. They're not any stuffed animals he can't live with out (because those I hopefully would've noticed sooner!). Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

No one likes a poopy puppy! Or teddy, for that matter.
:(

Are they the kind of stuffed animal that you can throw in the washing machine and dryer? I find that (even though you're not supposed to) the dog's toys come out just fine on a low enough setting... not that dog toys and baby toys are the same, but you know what I mean. :)

does IKEA still have the 1.99 bear?? it would be worth that. i am waiting for ds to start putting things in the toilet. i hope everything works out for you. does ds miss his animals?? that might help make your decision.

Somebody actually gave us another of the same exact bear and I don't think DS even knows they're gone...yeah, still debating that one. I have put his bears and puppies through the washer (and dryer) and they've come out fine. That should sterilize them enough (I hope). Right now they're just sitting in the closed washer in a bag while I try and figure it out!

I suddenly realized this morning that he might not have done it. I've never seen him do that (not that that means much). But they were in the very end of the bag which means they were probably there first thing. I put a brand-new bag for his birthday party in case anyone needed it and two of the little ones were upstairs (by themselves!) for a long time. I have a feeling they might have done it.
