DD got scratched big time at the gym daycare

It took me awhile to actually leave DD at the daycare at the gym. I finally got myself to the point where I was comfortable doing it. I went to pick her up today and noticed a little boy following her around very closely, trying to touch her. She was walking away from him, but he kept on her. Before I could do anything (though I keep thinking maybe I could), the little boy was on her, his hands on the sides of her face, scratching! DD was hysterical and one of the workers grabbed her. The worked thought he had just pinched her cheeks. I calmed her down and took her home. That's when I realized she has scratch marks all over the sides of her face. Some are really red. I washed them out and put neosporin on, but I am just annoyed. Rationally I know these things happen, but I'm still sad for DD.

Many gyms have a policy regarding daycare rules about behavior and so forth... does your gym have anything like this? I would certainly bring it to the attention of the manager of the daycare center!

I hope so. I think I am going to go back tomorrow and talk to them about it. I am hoping they at least mentioned it to the little boy's parents and maybe after they see it was worse they will make sure he behaves in the future. I am definitely going to tell them that the boys are a little too rough for DD and they need to be extra cautious. I don't want it to deter me from going to the gym (since it took me so long to leave her there!) but if this happens again I will definitely have to re-think it.

Ughh. Sorry she got scratched. It's par for the course in our house but I hate to see the marks on my dc's bodies. FWIW, I have a hard time keeping watch of two at all times but maybe the scratcher could take a break while he matures?

Anyway, hope your dd is okay.
