Stupid potty....

AHHHH...the potty training has officially been brought to a screeching halt! Why you might ask? Last night Tyler was going potty right before he got in the bath. As he lifted the seat and pushed it back onto the tank part the entire tank literally exploded! Somehow the whole back part of the tank broke into a million little pieces! Glass and water EVERYWHERE!!!

Poor little Tyler was standing on the stool screaming as water continued to flow everywhere! Jackson and Jaci are in the bath tub so I turn off the water and drain the tub. I now have 2 screaming babies in the bath with no water and 1 screaming toddler on a stool surrounded by water.

My entire bathroom flooded by the time I managed to get the 2 in the tub situated and wade through the pond trying not to step on a piece of glass. I finally got the toilet water turned off and managed to yell loud enough that Jacob came upstairs and took over while I finished up bathes.

Needless to say Tyler won't go near the potty today! The poor kid is traumatized. We were pretty well potty trained and now he is crying for a diaper because he won't go near the potty.

Sigh....some days I just want to go and crawl under a rock.

Poor little guy! And poor Mom who now might have to start over. I hope he doesn't stay traumatized for long.

Poor guy and poor you. I am so sorry for eveyone. Do you know why it exploded? I have never heard of such a thing?!?!? My advice is to let him have a break from potty training for a few days or even a little longer until he feels safe again going into the bathroom and near the potty. The good news is because he was almost there it won't take you as long the second time. Give that little guy lots of hugs today, he needs them.

Well, given that trauma, I wouldn't push PT at all, ever! But with a little luck, Jaci will be ready around 2ish, and you can do them both together - it'd be a shock to your system to have none in diapers all at once, wouldn't it?
