I bought my dress from Gowns to Go in Oakland Park, and I am thrilled with the service I've received. The owner and seamstress are honest but polite when it comes to how a gown looks on you, and they leave you alone to look around as long as you want. Neither of them ever tried to push me into buying a veil, slip, or any other accessories. If you're looking for an affordable gown and don't want to go the David's route, try this place. It's a few miles east of I-95 on the south side of Oakland Park Boulevard, and they sometimes go by the name of Lauderdale Bride (the owner told me she's trying to get away from rental).
