how about a bargain alert! & online coupon code sharing board?

i have been so grateful for the 20% off coupons & bargain alerts that have been posted! but you have to catch them quick in the forums before other topics move them to page 2 -- which happens fast since we all have so much to discuss, LOL.

i thought it would be nice to have them all in one place where you can just check from time to time when you have some purchasing to do. what do y'all think?

Love the idea...this is a message board for baby BARGAINS, so I could definitely see a seperate area for just such things. I have gotten such fantastic leads on money saving bargains in the lounge, but if you accidentally miss a thread you could lose out.

it happened again -- i was in search of a way to get a discount on a zippy, and a GREAT 20% off rightstart code was posted in a forum I rarely visit. luckily, someone was kind enough to repost it in the stroller section to give me a heads up when i put out my ISO call. what a wonderful *family* we have here!

is there any reason to NOT put a Bargain Alert forum up? i might not be shopping for new bedding or a new dipe bag, but if a great coupon was posted it might turn my head, KWIM? especially as we approach the holidays, we'd all really appreciate a way to save even more $$$ as we gift shop for our loved ones.

I've already noted earlier in this thread that I think Zen has a great idea. It could include sales (both online and in stores that members here are aware of. NOT advertising of course). It could also be a place where we post discount codes or printable coupons. We could also swap coupons for dipes and checks for formula. That way they don't get lost in another forum (as they often do in the lounge). Please consider it. Thanks!
