I've noticed that the Fields "pin" certain topics and I guess that means it stays on top of the topic listings. But lately, I've seen non-Fields postings pinned. Just wondering how that is done and what qualifies to be pinned.

I sent them a nice note asking if they would pin it and they sent me a nice note back saying they'd do it!!!!
Assuming due to the timing of this that you are referring to the thread I started about the orphanages...

Yep, I am referring to your post. It's such a great idea you have and it's nice that it can be pinned to the top so i was just wondering how it was done.

We use the "pin" function here sparingly, to highlight timely topics (and to keep them from falling off the first page of a forum). If a user emails us, we will consider a pin. Otherwise, it is the other moderators call on whether to pin something.

Hope that helps explain it!
