Has anyone ever suggested pinning a list of commonly used online community acronyms (HTH, FWIW, IYKWIM, YMMV, ROTFL, IMO, DH, DS, DD....)in the lounge or somewhere like that? I imagine that we could have so many post pinned that it could get out of control, but this seems to be a request that's often made- esp. from newbies to the boards.

That would be great! This was the first message board I ever got into, and I felt kind of out of the loop when I first started reading because I didn't know what people were saying.

This actually might be better addressed in the FAQ's. Then when someone asks, we could refer them to it there.

ETA: BTW, what the heck is YMMV?

I don't think there is a list up yet. But if you do a search for 'abbreviation' in the Subject in the Lounge forum you will get a couple of threads listing them.
