Hi, everybody. Can someone more computer-literate than I am translate some of the abbreviations everybody uses on these message boards? I'm seeing ds, DH, dd, HTH, etc, and while I can certainly figure out the ballpark, I'd love to know what they actually mean. Thanks! :) -Rachel

Hello
I'll give it a try.
DS=Dear Son
DD=Dear Daughter
DH=Dear Husband
HTH=Heart to Heart
ISO=In Search Of
SO=Signifigant Other

I am pretty sure that is what they all mean...What others?

I found some sites that may also be helpful. The translations for abbreviations seem to hinge on the audience....

And don't forget the infamous IL's:

MIL = mother in law
SIL = sister in law
etc.

I like thinking of it as "Darling Husband" too... Although my DH suggests it means he's the "Designated Hitter"! LOL!!!
