Having studied virtual communities, I know that most communities/groups have their own language, so to speak.
So, where's the dictionary? So far I've seen:
ds
dh
dd

Thanks.

ds=dear son
dh=dear husband
dd=dear daughter

Then after that you'll get into bf for breastfeeding, ebm for expressed breast milk, cio for cry it out, pnp for pack-n-play, RA for Roundabout (a car seat), AO for Alpha Omega (also a car seat), PP for Peg Perego... the list goes on and on, particularly once you get into the brand names.

Are you hanging out for academic reasons or parental ones? (Not that we mind either way...) If parental, welcome to the madness!

Also,you can't forget:

hth = hope that helps
iso = in search of
jmtcw = just my two cents worth

There's a post in this topic somewhere that covers more. I'll search for the thread.

Thanks for the replies, if you find the glossary it would be great.
I'm here for personal reasons, not academic, though I do still run a community (www.audifans.com). I got hooked on the Fields after discovering the Bridal Bargains book all by myself :)
