Hi guys!

I'm reorganizing our dining room/playroom (more accurately our playroom that still allows our table to reside at one end of it :)). Anyway I want to get a some type of small seating arrangement in there. Just a small loveseat of some type- it could be wicker, wood, whatever. But I don't want a full blown living room type and I need it to be cheap ($200 or less). I tried Ikea, but the one that would work is no longer available. I haven't been furniture shopping in forever, so where is a good place to look for something like this? I was thinking maybe Pier One, but that may be too expensive. I'm anxious to get this set up and don't really want to shop around fruitlessly so am hoping you guys will come through with some good suggestions!

Do you havce Jennifer Convertibles?? They have cheap stuff, some couches for 200, and if you find a floor model- even less!

For wicker or wood (and possibly even upholstery), check out Pier 1 or Cost Plus World Market.

Thanks for the suggestions-we tried Pier 1, Value City, and the Room Store tonight. Pier 1 had some stuff, but I was thinking since it's just wicker, I may be able to find it cheaper somewhere else. Will look into some of the other places you guys have suggested.

Nicole,

Have you tried the Ikea in Potomac Mills? Before we moved, we loaded up on IKEA merchandise and that store had a lot more than the White Marsh store. Granted, we weren't looking at furniture. I would also second the Pier One and Jennifer Convertibles suggestions. Pier One used to carry "non-wicker" loveseats - maybe they do not anymore though :-( Oh...how about the Pottery Barn Furniture Outlet in Leesburg? Also, one of my ex-coworkers recommended a great TOWN to buy reasonably-priced, well-made furniture in Virginia - Farmville? I don't know if they do sofas, though - possibly just bedroom and dining room pieces. There was a website - do you think that I would remember it though?? I know that this is a long haul but a lot of the furniture industry (Mitchell Gold, etc) is in North Carolina - they often have warehouse sales - something to think about down the road. :-)

If I think of anything else in your area I'll let you know.
