How do I put a little picture on the side like everyone has?

I want to show off my DS! But I can't figure out how to put a picture there! Help!

If you go to the "User Menu" and then "Edit Profile", there is a space for "Avatar Image", where you can cut and paste a link to a photo on a website.

If you don't have a website, then Sarah (mamahill), has been very generous about hosting various folks pix on her website. I'm sure she would help you out.

I've been trying to figure this out too! Its about to drive me crazy, because nothing I do works.

I just put our pic up too. Here's how:

1. start with a digital picture 48 x 48 pixels.

2. the picture needs to live somewhere out there on the web. I uploaded mine to my earthlink account. Check with your ISP to see if they give you free webspace. If not, I'd be happy to upload your picture and host it for you.

3. the picture, once hosted, now has a url which gets input into the avatar image location box.

If you don't have a way to upload, feel free to email me and I'd be happy to upload it for you and give you the url for your picture.

I've been off the boards for a while so I only JUST saw this -- if you want to email me a pic, I'll crop/resize it and host it for you. Just email me the pic at [email protected] and I'll email you back with the URL you can copy and paste into the avatar image section of your profile. This goes for anyone!
