Black and Decker Steambuster?

With an aging cat and a baby on the way (not to mention the husband) the creamy berber carpet in our less-than-a-year old house has been already taking a beating and I'm thinking it's going to get rougher before it gets better....While out xmas shopping I saw the new Black and Decker STeambuster. It's about $70 at WAlmart, so a bit pricey, but if it works on baby and pet stains it'd be worth it's weight in gold.....Anybody tried it? I'd also like to use it on pet stains on our comforters.
