Lucy Cecilia Morfit entered the World on Thursday morning, February 27, at 5:34. She weighed 8lbs 14oz and was 20 inches in length. She has a head full of red hair just like her father, thus far has taken a liking to Bach and Ella Fitzgerald, and if I do say myself is the sweetest thing around.

The birth process was pretty amazing. I was in pre-labor for 36 hours (that was NOT amazing), then an IV for my fluids, a dose of benedril, an episiotomy and 8 hours later little Lucy was on my breast. Our midwife was great and my DH was fantastic through the whole thing.

We are learning as we go and are taking it a feeding at a time.

Glad to hear your L&D went well and that baby Lucy is doing fine.

Tristan says, "I love red heads"....:)...
He actually seems to fancy any women coo'ing at him...

We are so thrilled to hear of the arrival of Miss Lucy Cecilia (I too love the name)!!!

It sound like you did a wonderful job in labor and had a great support system, I can't wait to see pics.

Congrats, I am glad everything went well for you. Nathans weight and length were the same as little Lucy's. I hope Lucy fits in her clothes better than Nathan.

Wonderful! Congratulations! Sounds like a big girl and a big labor. Love the name, and red hair? Well, I'm a little biased, but I think red hair is the BEST! (speaking as the owner of and mama to red hair ;) )

Congratulations, Ellen! I love the name Lucy, reminds me of A Room With a View. Definitely keep her on Ella -- that plus the red hair and she'll grow up to be spectacular.

Congratulations Ellen! Welcome Lucy. I love the name. Red hair is great. It's what I used to always try to dye my hair too.
