Just thought I'd paste a link for a treatment kit for accidental poisoning. It was one of those things I kept meaning to buy and kept forgetting. If you don't already have ipecac and activated charcoal in your house, take a moment and order some. HTH!

And while it's a good idea to have them both, you should ALWAYS call poison control first! Depending on the substance ingested, using ipecac to bring up a substance can actually cause more harm.

I just have to say that having the green Mr. Yuck stickers on anything poisonous was enough of a deterrent for me not to touch those things. Yes it was a different time and I had a SAHM, but we never even had cabinet locks under the sink.

I know I know better safe than sorry, but there are always alternatives.
