We think we got our first smile out of him Saturday...a real smile not a gassy/poopy smile. Then the smile went into hybernation for a few days...Well this morning I am getting tons of smiles from him. I LOVE IT!!!!

Time is flying I swear...we've upped his ounces per feeding and I have a very content baby thru out the day since...HMMM...kinda like the hours after eating Thanksgiving dinner :)... The doula just left she had not seen him since she was out of town for his birth but it was nice to see her, but she too said time is flying...

A true little nautical man. So adorable, and my how the time has lown. Can you believe that you've been a mommy for a whole month now? Dante's 8 months today and I'm absolutely astounded. Astounded that we all reached that milestone safe and sound, and not too badly sleep deprived. Who knows how I'll react when he hits a year.

Ugh! I'm pretty miserable most days. :-) I've been having some pretty strong contractions, even in my back, which I didn't have until real labor the first times. I had my 36 week dr. appt. yesterday and he went ahead and checked me and said that I'm "finger tip" dilated and the baby's head is "way down". Also, my cervix is shortened to about 1/2 of normal. He said don't expect anything this week but he feels pretty sure that I won't last until my due date. Yipee! On the plus side, my depression is much better which I am very grateful for. :-) Thanks for asking!!!

And your nursery (wow--took me 3 tries to spell nursery...brains are bye-bye!) is beautiful--I know what you mean though--it's hard to let them out of your sight even to sleep!!!

Stella was born on my due date!!!! Infact I have said numerous times to people that was when Tristan was born...I guess you get that number in your head for 8 months or so.
