Picture on Mug

I am heading of to the mall today to do some last minute shopping for Grandmas for Mothers Day and am wondering about this. What kind of picture do you bring? Just a regular print? Does size matter? Does it matter if it was printed out on a computer? Can you bring a picture on a disk from a digital camera?

How long does it take?

Any info would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to go all the way there and realize I have the wrong thing!
