also.. do many of you use the private message feature or buddy list? how do they work?

If you like (or dislike) a user you can 'rate' them. Basically you are asked to leave a positive, neutral or negative comment about them. You can read the comments others have left too. You get stars based on how many positive comments you have. This is similar to the 'feedback' area on EBay.

The Private Message feature is basically a way to send email to another user without knowing their email address or having them know yours.

I have very little idea what the buddy list does. I thought it would let you know when your 'buddies' are on, but apparently it does not. I have no clue how it helps.

If you add somebody to your buddy list, it saves their email info for you so you can access it quickly.
