Everyone in my family was three weeks late.

My mom said tonight that they induced her with my sister (third child) and that didn't work and they sent her back home. Could you imagine?

Oh sorry this is about how long you carried YOUR child.

Nevermind. ;)

I went 42 weeks with all three of my kids! All three induced also!
Cocoa will be here soon enough, Flagger! And when she is, your life(and your wife's) will totally change!
Good luck and keep us posted,
Annette

Ainsleigh was 16 days early... but so was I. I guess this isn't exactly helpful in commiserating with Ms. Flagger...

Justin arrived 13 days after my due date. I was scheduled to be induced that day, but Justin arrived on his own.

Nate was 5 weeks early. I really thought he'd go late, since *I* was born a month late myself and my brother born 3 weeks past EDD.

I'm no help either...

One day late (though you can hardly call that late!). Flagger - You haven't gone to the hospital since the time you posted your response, have you????

I was 4 days late with doctor talking about inducing since he worried baby was getting too big. It went like this:

Monday: Due. No baby.
Wednesday: Doc notes lack of dilation, makes noises about inducing.
Thursday: Had a nice, long foot massage at midnight.
Friday: Contractions start at 6:00 am
Saturday: Baby born at 2 am

I could almost swear it was the foot massage!

Nicholas was two weeks early. I guess the induction we had scheduled b/c he was breech didn't fit his plans!

Scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. Have to admit, the "scheduled" part of it was really nice.

Hang in there, Mr. & Mrs. Flagger! (But not Cocoa ;)! You need to come out!)

I was 10 days early, but alas, Gannon did not inherit my punctuality. He was 4 days late.

I was hoping he would have been early because I was, but I think that was the case because my mother is such a pipsqueak, 5'2" and a 100 lbs on a heavy day, that she would have burst if I didn't come out sooner. (I was 8 lb 6 oz.)

We were 8 days early. I believe it was due to the doctors order to walk a lot and have sex (even though I should've asked Dr. how he expected me to be able to do that). ;)

2 weeks early here.

Due on 8/3, born 7/21.

Sorry I can't help. When I saw the doc on Thursday before Emma was born, he said in all likelihood, I'll see you again next week. Emma just couldn't wait though. I went into labor on Saturday night and had her Sunday.

I was 4 days late late with Liza and while I know that wasn't terrible, it certainly felt like agony to me, particularly since they had already added nine days to my original due date after an ultra-sound! Kasey was 2 weeks early, but I had pre-term labor with her starting at 30 weeks and was on bedrest and anti-contraction medication with her, so even though 2 weeks early, it felt like I was in labor for 8 weeks. Good luck Ms. Flagger, this will all be a memory soon enough!!!

I was very surprised when my water broke 2 weeks early! (Though I always thought that they had calculated my due date a bit late...) Then she took her sweet time, so it was 32 hours later that Julia finally showed up.

Audrey was born four weeks early. It was very surprising. My water broke, but I had zero contractions until 12 hours later on pitocin.
It was a wild ride.

Arielle was either 2 days late or 6 days early! I had 2 due dates because we moved from Atlanta to NJ when I was 6 months pregnant and my 2 OBs didn't agree on the dates! My Atl OB gave me Nov 5 based on an early U/S, but when I met with my current OB here in NJ when I was 18 weeks, he did another and decided it was Oct 28! I think the hospital records go by Nov 5 though, because it has me listed as delivering at 39 weeks. None of this would matter whatsoever if it weren't for the fact that I REALLY want this baby to come on or before my EDD so I can be home for Arielle's birthday!

edited to add that I realize first babies don't always indicate when the next will come, it's just something else for me to stress/obsess about!;)

I was due 12/22. OB threatened to induce 12/20, but couldn't get me a hospital bed. Induction started 12/27; DS arrived by c-section on 12/29. Hang in there, Flaggers!

Grayson and Avery were both induced, so no help there. Little Miss Hayden was due to be induced on the 7th, but she came on her own in the wee hours of the morning on the 6th.

I was induced one week early due to high blood pressure and after two days in the hospital I was sent home. No baby, but my blood pressure was down from all the bed rest. I will never agree to an induction again unless it's life or death. It was nothing more than a waste of a weekend. My dd was born one week later, on her exact due date!! They sent me home the day I went into labor also(with one minute contractions five minutes apart). I was miserable and furious, but thankfully my water broke an hour later after I got home and then they had to take me.

Logan was 4 days late. But it didn't really matter because the whole last 2 weeks I was so done with this whole pregnancy thing and I just wanted it to be OVER, yanno. So what was 4 more days. I was a crankypants for weeks at the end anyway.

Jake was 9 days late, but I don't remember feeling so anxious to have it over with then. Maybe because I was scared of delivery the first time, but the second time I knew what to expect and I just wanted to get on with it already.

Aidan was five weeks early, which I expected (my mother didn't carried any of her five children to term) but my OB's dismissed. I'm still a little irritated about that...

Another 2 full weeks late here....by the time I finally had Amira my friends all thought I was a freak of nature and had been pregnant for a year or so (b/c they all knew really early that I was expecting....pretty easy to tell when I turned green!)
Hang in there!! And enjoy the last few moments of quiet calm!!! Little Miss Cocoa will be out and about in no time at all!!!

DS was exactly 2 weeks early. DD was scheduled, but also 2 weeks early (didn't want to go into labor since she wasn't coming out that way anyhow!).

Good thing they were early, too! DS was 8lb 7oz, DD was 7lb 9oz. I have big babies!

Olivia shocked us all by making her debut on her exact due date. Friends and family had a betting pool going, and not one person guessed the right day! LOL!

And she still keeps us guessing...

i was 2 weeks early and over 8 lbs.... spent my whole life hearing my mother bitch about how she spent HER birthday in the hospital because i was early.

DD arrived right on her due date, which is spooky, because we know the date of conception (rather than estimating using date of last menses) and an accurate count of days would have put her into may... i could have used another few days but i had just done the essential errands and gotten the dogs groomed that very day...

Michael was 11 days late and was induced. He was probably never going to come on his own due to his large size. Every extra day felt like a WEEK!
Good luck and your baby will be here soon!

I was due with Matt on 5/15 and he was born 5/22. However, with me, my mom was due 6/27 and I was born 8/3. I can not imagine. I would have had my doctor by the throat and he would have gotten me out of....me... ok, that made no sense, but you get the point. My mom was over a month overdue with me.... Wow... what that poor woman went through.

Good think I was such a good kid. :)
