Inspired by the Father's Day thread, and Karen's (Stillplayswithbarbies) post, here is Tom's Father's Day present for his DADDY! We hope you like it!!!

http://www.shutterfly.com/my/slide2.jsp?auto=0&i=67b0de21b33d3c5105ee

BTW - I tried having him hold wooden letters for the photos and this just did not work with an 11 month old! He was having too much fun with the letters and wouldn't keep them still long enough to photograph. :-)

:-) Thanks, you guys! Do you think he'll like it, or is it too silly?

Neve and Sonia - I also made reservations for us to have lunch on Father's Day at the Angus Barn. Mmmmmm...We haven't been there in a while!

:-) Thanks!

I cut the letters out of cotton fabric and stuck them on. The fabric clung to the diaper. It was lots of fun taking the pics - the baby didn't even know what was going on as I was chasing his butt around the room!

Oh that is so cute! And he's just going about the business of being a baby, totally unaware that his butt is spelling words! :)

How precious, Lisa- he'll love it! Tommy is such a little cutie!

And the really good part is it'll be easy to keep a surprise. My DH (being Mr. Obsessive about finances) just noticed a charge on our credit card (he checks it daily online) and e-mailed me to see if it was legit. Nice. Happy Father's Day to Mr. NOSY! ;)

This is ADORABLE!!!

Sigh...I wish I was more creative. We were walking through Home Depot the other day and Shawn had to stop and check out the grills. (What is it with guys and their grills??) And here is smart ol' me:

"Oh, sweetie! You wanna grill for Father's Day?"

"Yeah."

So, there you go. A grill. Wooooooooohooooooo. :)

that is SO cute! i gotta get moving on doing my D A D D Y letters on my DS. what picture frame did you use? separate ones for each picture or one big one?

I only ordered the prints from Shutterfly yesterday but I plan to buy one long frame with a matte for the five pictures, depending on what I can find. I might have to special order the matte, which would be fine with me.

Lisa--you could go to a frame shop for the mats...It may be a little more $$ than Franks or Michaels, but you could choose whatever color and make sure that it is done right (even with archival matting, so the pics don't ruin)...Just a thought!!

(full disclosure: my dad owns a custom picture frame store/gallery)!!!!

Good luck, and once again, LOVE the pics!!

I *love* it! I looked around online, and found this frame:

www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=12260873&RN=88&KSKU=102804

It's a hinged 5 frame set from Bed, Bath & Beyond. I'm sure you can find them elsewhere too.

I'm going to do this for my dad, as Alia calls him Papa...we'll have to see if she will hold the letters for me!

Thanks for sharing - and great idea with the letters on the diaper. He is precious!

So sweet, Lisa. Really really adorable. I may have to steal the idea--may I?

I've made a shutterfly snapbook with photos of Dante put to the lines from the old Charles "Happiness Is", changing "warm puppy" to "warm papa" and a couple of other "editorial" changes along the way. suddenly though, the diaper bag is looking--in comparison--rather impersonal.
