My Baby is One...Today!

I can not believe it. My Baby Boy is One...Today! This year has certainly gone by quickly. Patrick and I woke up early to see Matthew's little face on our local NBC channel. They announce first birthdays during their sunrise show. I feel like I have a hang over now but it was neat to see his photo (we set the vcr timer as well). I am just so sad and happy at the same time. He isn't a little baby anymore, despite the fact that I sometimes wish he was, don't ask me why. But now I have a toddler...yikes! He is a lot of fun and I love it when he gives me hugs. He is so funny as well. The other day, he creeped up next to me and yelled, like he was trying to scare me. He then started laughing, walked away and then did it again. I don't know where he learned that but I couldn't help it but laugh. It was so funny.

Ok. I will stop now. Just wanted to share :)

I can completely understand how you feel. Gannon's birthday is next week, and while I'm completely loving him every day more and more, it seems like every day he is mine less and less. Does that make sense?

Happy Birthday to Matthew! Melissa, I was thinking of you this morning and wondered how you were doing today! Tom is turning one next week (same day as Gannon!) and I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. We'll have to get together soon to celebrate the boys' birthdays!

BTW, what time does NBC show the birthday pics? I want to send Tom's in and need to know what time to turn on the television. We've been waking around 5:30 these days so it will be no problem for us to flick it on in time! Ugh! ;-)

I am in the same boat, DD is 2 today! She is a little girl- not a baby and it makes me soooooo sad :( . I had to call DH at work today and tell him how big she is (in case he forgot). LOL! I think I will still refer to her as "the baby" until #2 arrives.
