I'm pretty sure it is Manhattan Toy company -- I had looked at it months ago. Very nice and cheap -- but it doesn't move (making it, I guess, a "stable")

Take a look at picture #7 in my Shutterfly album. Is that it? If so, it's the Infant Stim-Mobile. I got mine on eBay. It also came with color cards (I don't think older ones did).

I have this one. It's called the Wimmer-Ferguson "stabile" (as opposed to mobile) and I believe it is put out by the Manhattan Toy company. I had this one and Sarah enjoyed it. It was also pretty inexpensive, which was nice. Mine (that I got 2 years ago) also came with the color cards for when they are older.
