Update - Tom's chicken pox vaccine reaction

I took Tom to his ped this morning and it is definitely a chicken pox vaccine reaction that caused his rash and fever. The good news is that the ped told us it is NOT contagious. (I had spoken with his nurse on Weds. and she said it was. I told the ped about this and he was really surprised that his nurse gave me misinformation and assured me that it really was not contagious.) Tom is feeling better (he really only experienced crankiness from it and that was only on Weds.)

I'm glad Tom's reaction is passing, and was thanfully brief. Matt just had his first round of vaccinations and I've been hovering over him, paranoid, for three days--so far nothing. Reading your post made me more aware of what to look for, even though he didn't get the Pox vaccine.
