Colin has never been bother by loud noises. In fact, he's almost enjoyed them. :) In the last week or so, he has started to get scared every time a fire truck passes or a loud jet roars overhead. (Unfortunately we live near a fire station and an air force base, so there are plenty of both of those sounds!) He usually stops whatever he is doing and runs for me or DH and clings to us. He's never been like this before!
I remember someone (I think it was Shira) posting about a sudden fear of the vacuum cleaner coming on at about this age and I was wondering if maybe it was a developmental thing. Anyone encountered anything like this? Any tips? Right now were looking as relaxed and as happy as we can and saying, "Yes, that's a fire truck." But, it doesn't seem to be helping much...
