...if he's up on all fours, but can only go backwards? My husband jokes that he's only got one gear right now: reverse.

i have heard SO many parents say they go backwards first! i can't wait to see it. ds is only 5 months and his only "trick" is rolling from back to front. (well, he is rather talented in the bumper jumper... so maybe he has two tricks...)

Still counts! He is mobile, going to get where he wants, doesnt matter that its backwards as long as he manages to reach his goal....yeah for mobility!

Hehehehe....I can just see him backing up...beep beep beep...like the beeps a truck makes as its backing up....tooo cute!

No one really ever tells you how fuzzy these milestones are! It was a month between the time Colin took his first step and when he started walking all over the place - so when did he start walking??? He did the commando crawl for a while before crawling - so when did he start crawling??? Go with whatever feels right to you! You can't go wrong!
