where do you go to check the reputation of an online web site?

I usually try to run whatever I'm shopping for through Yahoo's shopping search engine. The web sites that come up are rated, and so far I've never had a problem with any of them. Here's how their ratings work:

If you are talking about an online merchant. I usually run those through www.resellerratings.com or www.epinions.com

I know that when we were going to buy a sofa sight unseen, I checked out the place on The Better Business site. I just googled Better business bureau + the city it was in and found out they had received no complaints.
