Read what kids ages 9-12 had to say when they were sat down to play video games from the 70's and 80's by a magazine called Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Said about PONG:

'My line is so beating the heck out of your stupid line. Fear my pink line. You have no chance. I am the undisputed lord of virtual tennis.'

That article is hilarious! I can't wait to show it to my DH -- he was the King of PONG :).

Oh, how funny! I'm totally cracking up. I played most of the games--even the little hand-held football game. It never even occurred to me that I should be "bothered" by the fact that all that showed up on the screen were little lines.

I DO feel old now, lol!

PONG was the coveted toy when we visited my grandparents. And I still like Tetris. :)

We just picked up this silly little thing that attaches to the TV and you can play Pac-Man and Dig Dug and Galaxia (I think it's called that) and some other games, and it was $24.95.

Impulse purchase! I have only had time to play it once in 2 weeks!

Edited to add: It was at Bed Bath & Beyond, so that tells you what age range they are targeting!

I can't believe they didn't have them play Frogger or Asteroids--I think Asteroids is THE definitive Atari game.

That's hilarious! Their comments are so funny. It is a little worrisome to see their "kill" comments: "Kill him! Glock him!" In our day it was enough just to shoot the little crab and squid aliens! LOL!

I emailed it to dh...he is the ultimate 80s video gamer! LOL!
